Duties
Perform detailed laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures with precision and care
Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and stability
Provide compassionate patient care by administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
Maintain detailed medical records, update patient histories, and document all procedures accurately
Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health strategies
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas to uphold safety standards
On-call Rotation
Experience
Proven laboratory experience in a veterinary or animal health setting is highly preferred
Previous hands-on experience with animal restraint, sample collection, and diagnostic testing
Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and clinical protocols
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and educate pet owners
Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician from an accredited program is required
