Overview

QLUX Millwork Solutions is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sander to join our production team.

The ideal candidate has previous experience sanding and preparing wood, MDF, and millwork components for paint, stain, or other finishing processes. This role requires patience, consistency, physical capability, and a robust eye for surface imperfections.

Responsibilities
Sand and prepare wood, MDF, and other millwork components
Prepare surfaces for painting, staining, and finishing
Use hand tools, orbital sanders, and other sanding equipment safely and effectively
Follow drawings, specifications, and production requirements
Identify surface defects, scratches, dents, uneven areas, and other imperfections
Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before moving to the finishing stage
Maintain consistent quality across all parts and projects
Handle and move cabinet and millwork components as required
Keep the work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized




Follow workplace safety procedures and production standards

Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience with sanding, woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, or a related manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
Experience sanding MDF and wood components for paint or stain
Familiarity with hand sanding techniques and power sanding equipment
Solid attention to detail and quality
Ability to identify small surface defects and imperfections
Positive understanding of proper surface preparation
Physically capable of handling and moving parts and performing repetitive sanding work
Reliable, responsible, and able to work efficiently
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a production team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
