About the Role

We are seeking high-energy, outgoing, friendly, and efficient Front of House Team Members to join the awesome team at Haugen’s. This role is an important part of creating a outstanding experience for our guests, supporting smooth front-of-house operations, and helping create a welcoming and positive environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working with people, and can thrive in a quick-paced restaurant environment.

Duties
Create an amazing experience for every one of our valued guests
Greet guests warmly and assist with their orders
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
Prepare simple food items as needed while following food safety and sanitation standards




Upsell menu items and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience
Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and service stations
Ensure food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations
Manage order flow during busy periods to help minimize wait times
Assist with opening and closing duties, including:
Cleaning and sanitation
Restocking supplies
Preparing the restaurant for the next service

Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or a restaurant workplace is preferred
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and professionalism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced workplace
Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset
Familiarity with POS systems, such as Micros POS, is an asset
Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering is an asset
Previous kitchen or food industry experience is beneficial but not required
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Starting at $17.60 plus tips.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
