Journeyperson By Hand Welders
To work at our Blackfalds Modular Yard in the Blackfalds area.
SALARY: Up to $58.40 per hour
OVERTIME: Flat Rate - No OT
TRAVEL: No travel. Local position
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: 5 days on, 2 days off
HOURS PER DAY: 10 hours per day
PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
SHIFT: Dayshift
ACCOMODATIONS: Local Position
DURATION: Ongoing
WORK SCOPE: Module Yard
Working Conditions:
Full time, Temporary

Requirements:
Must have a valid Journeyperson Card from a recognized provincial training authority
Must have piping/fabrication experience
Rigging experience would be an asset but we will train
Experience working with overhead cranes
Valid F3/F4 Ticket
Valid F6/F6 Ticket
CSTS 2020 Certification
WHMIS2015
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Previous Modular experience is an asset
Responsibilities
Assist in securing components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
Assist in the selection appropriate equipment and plan the layout and assembly of a welding process.
Have basic knowledge of geometry,
physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage and welding techniques.
Assist in securing of parts in position for welding.
Assist in the preparation of material for welding by cutting or grinding using pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or grinder.
Set material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding.
Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc or gas welding equipment.
Assist in the repairing of products by dismantling, straightening and reshaping.
Reassemble parts using cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools.
Follow oral and written directions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Complete all required safety documentation
Working at heights and outdoors
