We are seeking energetic and dependable Snow Shovelers and Plow Operators to ensure safe and accessible pathways during winter weather conditions. In this vital role, you will be responsible for clearing snow from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and other designated areas to maintain safety and accessibility for residents, visitors, and staff. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep our community secure and operational during snowstorms and icy conditions.
Responsibilities
Operate snow plowing equipment such as snow blowers, shovels, and plows to remove snow from designated areas efficiently.
Use hand tools and power tools to clear snow from sidewalks, stairs, entrances, and other hard-to-reach spots.
Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup and enhance safety on walkways and driveways.
Conduct regular inspections of cleared areas to ensure thorough snow removal and identify any hazards.
Maintain all equipment by performing routine mechanical checks, cleaning tools, and reporting any repairs needed.
Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during snow removal activities.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize high-traffic areas for snow clearing during severe weather events.
Requirements
Prior experience with landscape maintenance, construction, or mechanical work is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of operating equipment such as excavators or other mechanical tools is a plus.
Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures.
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor safely.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
