One of our clients is seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver for a part time position in Pembroke, Ontario. The successful candidate will transport reinforcing steel and construction materials to Ottawa and surrounding areas, with occasional longer-distance deliveries to Sudbury or Richmond Hill.

Responsibilities

· Safely operate AZ straight or articulated trucks and flatbed trailers

· Transport reinforcing steel and construction materials

· Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections

· Assist with loading and unloading at customer and yard locations

· Shunt trailers as required

· Maintain accurate inspection and delivery records

· Perform basic vehicle checks, including fueling and adding oil

· Follow all company, safety, and transportation regulations

Requirements

· Valid AZ or DZ licence with Air Brake (Z)



endorsement preferred

· Manual transmission licence and driving experience – 100% required

· Minimum 3 years of skilled driving experience required for insurance purposes

· Previous steel-hauling experience strongly preferred

· Clean CVOR and valuable driving record

· Must be available to work every Monday and Tuesday

· Must be comfortable with early morning starts at approximately 3:00 AM

· Must be able to work approximately 10–14 hours per shift, depending on the delivery schedule

· Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
