Job Description:

Join one of Canada's leading automotive dealership groups in a high-impact Controller role where you'll do more than manage the numbers - you'll help drive business performance. As part of a growing finance team, you'll work closely with dealership leaders, provide strategic financial insight, and play a key role in improving processes across multiple locations. Reporting to the Chief Controller, you'll be a trusted business partner to General Managers and operational leaders, supporting month-end close, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and overall dealership performance. You'll also help bridge the gap between operations and shared services, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and greater consistency across the business. Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close and review financial results for dealership operations.
Analyze performance, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
Partner with General Managers and department leaders to improve profitability and efficiency.




Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning.
Review key reconciliations, payroll, commissions, inventory, and balance sheet accounts.
Strengthen internal controls and support accounting best practices.
Help streamline processes and contribute to the standardization of finance operations across dealerships.

Requirements:
CPA designation preferred, or significant automotive dealership accounting experience.
Experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership role.
Solid full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs.
Ability to work independently and succeed in a fast-paced workplace.

Preferred Qualifications
Automotive dealership experience strongly preferred.
Experience working with multiple dealership locations.
Knowledge of CDK or similar dealership management systems.
Experience supporting business leaders in a finance business partner capacity.
Familiarity with ASPE and IFRS reporting settings.
