Position Summary

Our Afternoon and Evening Security Guards maintain the peace, safety, and security of our Victoria sites during afternoon and evening hours, enforcing property rules, conducting patrols, monitoring access control, and responding to incidents and emergencies. Full time and part-time schedules are available - a outstanding fit alongside school or another job.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner.
Utilize tact and diplomacy while interacting with patrons, clients, and unauthorized individuals.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive.
Maintain and enforce access control procedures, including managing trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair and safe manner.
Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and identify potential risks or incidents.
Investigate incidents and occurrences and draft detailed incident and occurrence reports.
Maintain a detailed memo book and ensure accurate reporting on all matters.




De-escalate emergency and crisis situations using sound judgment and communication.
Assist emergency responders and law enforcement personnel as required.

Required Qualifications
Valid BC Security Worker Licence
Valid OFA 1 Certificate
Strong English communication skills (verbal + written reports)
Ability to stand, walk, and conduct foot patrols for extended periods
Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound decisions in high-stress situations
Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments (indoors and outdoors)

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Loss Prevention / Retail Security is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and observational awareness.
Robust interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
Security or customer service experience; internal candidates require 6 months.
Comfortable working in busy, highly populated environments.
Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
