- Test Finance risk management programs and controls, including financial reporting controls
- Test or assess the effectiveness of controls supporting the business
- Facilitate creation of remediation plans
- Test compliance with the GL Reconciliation and Attestation policy
- Document testing results using testing templates and workpapers
- Input testing results into the Control Testing book of record, Merlin, an Archer-based tool
- Summarize testing results through Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
- Use Microsoft Excel for initial data analysis of account populations for the GL Testing program
- Partner with other teams and lines of defense on control effectiveness monitoring
- Contribute to a culture of risk awareness, accountability, ethics, integrity, and conduct
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the end of your work term
- Enrolled or planning to pursue a CPA designation OR committed to pursuing a career in Finance Transformation
- Financial acumen
- Curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving orientation
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Studying toward a university degree in Business, Accounting, or another relevant field
- Financial industry experience considered a strong asset
- Advanced user of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment while managing multiple deadlines and priorities
- Applications must include a transcript, cover letter of one letter-sized page or less, and a resume of maximum 2 pages
- Must reside in Canada
