Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Alberta. Known for its collaborative approach, long-standing client relationships, and commitment to excellence, the company is seeking a Project Manager to join its Calgary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from pre-construction through to closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate project teams to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage project financials, including forecasting, change orders, progress claims, and cost reporting.
• Support project planning, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  
  
  
  
• Mentor and support Project Coordinators and other junior team members.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Several years of experience managing commercial construction projects as a Project Manager.
• Experience working for a general contractor in Western Canada is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project delivery methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong client relationships.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
