Volunteer Position: Women’s Art Group Volunteer

Name of Program: Community Development

Duration: Versatile

Hours Required: 3 hours per week, Thursdays between 12:30pm-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
To work with Crouch NRC and CMHATV staff to provide support and assistance to the Women’s Art Group.
Ensuring that the Women’s Art Group is a safe space for all participants.
Ensuring participants who experience crisis during a group session are treated with sensitivity and support.

Key Tasks:
Assist in supporting therapeutic art projects for once weekly Women’s Art Group.
Work with Crouch NRC staff to set up room and supplies.
Work with CMHATV staff to clean and help take down room and supplies.
Potential to help with program development.





Skills and Attributes Required:
Candidate must be female.
Friendly, compassionate, and enthusiastic.
Training in mental health first aid, trauma informed care and related courses considered an asset.
Flexibility in role and delivery of programming according to participant needs.
Being a current student or graduate of a fine arts or art therapy program, or holding a CATA/ACAT certification an asset.
