The City of London seeks a skilled Urban Forestry Inspector to join its Climate Change, Environment, and Waste Management division. This full time temporary role will focus on overseeing tree planting and management tasks. Working under the Forestry Operations Supervisor, you will conduct inspections, review related contracts, and ensure trees in subdivisions are planted and maintained correctly.
Your experience in arboriculture will play a vital role in promoting public safety and enhancing community green spaces. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections for tree work orders and warranties
Meet with staff to discuss construction project requirements
Provide direction on tree trimming and planting
Verify invoicing from contractors for accuracy
Update tree inventory data using handheld devices Requirements:
Completion of a two-year Forestry Technician diploma
Two years of experience in forestry or arboriculture
ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) certification
Familiarity with GIS technology is an asset
Solid customer relations and data entry skills Utilize your expertise in urban forestry to enhance the living setting of London’s residents.
