Director, Security OperationsThe Director, Security Operations is an IT senior‑management team member responsible for the day‑to‑day security operations within PPI and for ensuring that PPI’s technology setting complies with the Information Security Policy adopted by iAFG. The role also leads security projects to enhance PPI’s security posture.ResponsibilitiesManage day‑to‑day security operations, including vulnerability management, incident management, security assessments, security configurations, the Security Operations Centre (SOC), end‑user awareness, phishing, and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR).Ensure daily operations meet the requirements of the iAFG Security Policy Framework.Work with the VP of Information Technology and Security to monitor the security posture of PPI’s network, systems, and infrastructure.Collaborate to develop an annual budget based on short‑ and long‑term goals and objectives.Partner with other business units to implement new security projects.Maintain proper documentation and audit/security evidence.Monitor and report on compliance with security policies and assist in enforcement.Provide ongoing management to the Security Operations Team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and vacation scheduling.Coordinate with PPI IT Operations and Support Teams on security operations tasks, incident management, and troubleshooting as needed.Foster teamwork and collaboration across local and national team members.Ensure proper change‑management processes are followed and participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB).Lead the security team in DevSecOps initiatives.Collaborate with PPI software developers, infrastructure/security,



and IT operations teams to meet operational needs.Promote a “Cloud First” and “Infrastructure‑Led Innovation” mindset within the security team.Assist asset owners and IT staff in understanding and responding to security audit failures.Travel to PPI locations for security system implementation when required.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum seven years of IT experience, with at least five years in an information security role and at least four years in a supervisory capacity.Strong leadership abilities with the capability to develop and guide security team members while working independently.Deep understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS, and other industry standard security frameworks.Deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, practices, tools, and technologies.Skilled in project management and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.Track record of delivering outstanding results aligned with corporate objectives.Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with a client‑centered focus.Experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans (strategic, tactical, and project).Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate controls.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with application technology security testing (white‑box, black‑box, and code review).Experience with system technology security testing (vulnerability scanning and penetration testing).Experience working with legal, audit, and compliance staff.Knowledge of progressive technology trends.Must be able to travel.LocationPrimary: Calgary – 205 Quarry Park Boulevard SE.
