SENIOR CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERINTENDENT – ICI Projects (10+ Years of Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Site Superintendent to join our team and oversee ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) projects with a focus on municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. As a Senior Construction Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a proven track record of managing ICI projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing on-site operations, coordinating crews, and ensuring work progresses according to project plans, schedules and deadlines.
• Enforcing health and safety as it complies with Ontario and company safety standards while conducting inspections and addressing hazards to maintain a secure work environment on a daily basis.
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and labourers, ensuring materials arrive on time and subcontractors and labourers complete the work according to quality standards.
• Reviewing shop drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure construction aligns with design requirements and engineering standards.
• Troubleshooting in office challenges, resolving conflicts, and adapting plans to address unexpected delays or issues.
• Maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors to provide progress updates and address concerns.
  
  
  
  
• Tracking expenses, approving invoices, and managing resources to keep the project within budget.
• Ensuring proper documentation, including permits, inspection reports, and daily logs, to support project compliance and accountability.
• Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, codes, and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 10+ years of experience as a lead construction site superintendent, preferably in the ICI construction industry.

* Proven track record of successfully completing ICI projects from initiation to completion, on time and within budget.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, stakeholders, and team members.

* Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and make decisions in a rapid-paced environment.

* Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Proficient in construction software Procore and other Microsoft software programs.

* Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, codes, and standards related to ICI construction projects.
