Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stamping Department Lead Hand to join our team. The stamping department lead hand will be responsible for the die changes, set-ups and start-ups. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical stamping press machines, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Knowledge of progressive & transfer dies an asset.

Key Responsibilities
Perform die, set-ups and start-ups of dies and stamping presses and secondary machinery.
Organize and schedule production of stamping and welding products.
Responsible for maintaining high quality level of parts and minimizing scrap levels.
Responsible for production troubleshooting.
Responsible for the testing of new materials and products.
Receive raw materials.
Maintain inventory levels for production and collaborate with purchasing.
Maintain production quality standards and ensure compliance with QMS standards.




Enter labour tickets on computer system and document any process changes.
Operate forklift, change coils and totes.
Train recent employees.
Provide assistance to plant manager and other supervisors as needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years experience as a setup technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong English communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Forklift certification.
