Client is embarking on an exciting initiative to transform Capital Markets to the world class Digital institution. Our goal is to electronify all forms of interactions, starting with the Front Office. We are looking for a SW Engineer to work on key electronification projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, analyse and develop SW for Muni Electronic Trading platform
- Daily interaction with various IT Teams in NY/NJ, Canada, Shanghai and Israel to understand the business need and translate them into technology deliverable built with the highest Development standards
- Work together with other Technology teams, BA, QA and Support towards successful delivery of key components in the Electronic Trading Platform
- Effectively raise and articulate risks and necessary trade-offs as functionality emerges and balance the technical aspects of the deliverable while ensuring business expectations are met
- Help improve the existing technology platform to increase stability and supportability
- Build healthy working relationship with all stakeholders (Business & IT)
Person Specification
Skills:
- 4+ years' experience in Java/JEE related technologies
- Experience in building distributed systems
- Thorough understanding of core Java principals and design
- Strong in server side Java technologies including Spring framework and Hibernate or MyBatis
- Messaging – experience with any JMS implementation framework like TIBCO EMS, Apache Kafka, RabitMQ or similar
- Database – experience with any relational database like Sybase, Oracle or similar
- Working experience with Linux and shell scripting
- Experience with build frameworks like ANT, Maven, Gradle or similar
- Experience with WEB development is an advantage
Qualifications:
Strong academic record, Bachelor's Degree and/or Masters in Computer Science or related.
