Become an Inclusion Support Teacher at Southern Okanagan Secondary School for the 2026/27 academic year, starting September 1, 2026. This role focuses on providing personalized educational support to students with varying abilities through adapted curriculum. This 1.0 FTE temporary position offers an exciting chance to influence student engagement positively.
Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s degree or equivalent certification in Inclusive Education and recent classroom experience, enabling them to develop and evaluate Individual Education Plans.
Your role will include collaborating with education assistants and integrating technology into learning programs to foster student growth. Key Responsibilities:
Create and revise Individual Education Plans for diverse students
Adapt instructional materials for wide-ranging learning needs
Conduct various assessments to gauge student progress
Guide education assistants working under your direction
Engage with external agencies and school district staff Requirements:
Educational qualifications include a Master’s or Inclusive Education certification
Proven experience in classroom adaptation strategies
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
BC Skilled Teaching Certificate required
