What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Real Estate Law Clerk who will contribute to the overall excellent level of service provided to our sophisticated clients. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of the real estate transaction process for complex commercial matters. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational talent along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. This is a good position for someone who is detailed oriented, a self-starter who has excellent technical skills and has the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Carriage of commercial real estate files from beginning to end
Preparation of all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions and refinancing (on behalf of borrowers from both private and institutional lenders)
Standard document production in relation to larger property acquisitions, dispositions and financings
Review title searches and prepare title memorandum, prepare off-title search letters, oversee off-title searches and draft requisition letters and responses
Deal directly with clients, financial institutions, municipalities,
land registry offices and title insurance companies
Review and negotiate title insurance policies
Prepare record books promptly following completion of files
Produce the highest quality of work
Accountable for all work assigned

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk
Strong knowledge of the real estate transaction process for commercial matters
Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a legal assistant or law clerk program
ILCO certification
Proficiency with Teraview is required
Flexibility to work overtime when needed
Strong knowledge of title matters
Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
Skills:

Compensation:
Thesalary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market equity.
