Our vision is explicit: to deliver rapid, accurate, and reliable service powered by cutting-edge technology.Your Role: At the Heart of the ChainSalary Range $81,376.00 - $101,719.50Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On Maintenance (Primary Responsibility) Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on sorters, conveyors, and associated systemsExecute corrective maintenance (CM) to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issuesRespond to and resolve emergency maintenance (EM) events and breakdownsTroubleshoot system issues to minimize downtime and improve reliabilityPerform inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacementsSupport system startups, shutdowns, and testing after maintenance activitiesSpend the majority of time on the floor performing maintenance work alongside techniciansTeam Leadership & Coordination Train, coach, and support maintenance techniciansAssign and coordinate daily maintenance tasksEnsure proper execution of PM schedules and maintenance standardsAct as the technical point of contact for technicians during shiftsPromote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety proceduresMaintenance Planning & Execution Plan and prioritize maintenance activities based on system needs and operational impactEnsure PM compliance and completionMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliabilityInventory & Spare Parts Management Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical componentsTrack usage and maintain appropriate inventory levelsIdentify critical spare parts to reduce downtimeProcurement & Vendor Coordination Review and approve purchase orders (POs)
for maintenance parts and servicesCoordinate with vendors and contractors when external support is requiredEnsure timely procurement of necessary materialsContinuous Improvement & Reliability Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutionsImprove maintenance procedures and standardsSupport reliability improvements across sorters and conveyor systemsOperations Interface & Communication Act as the primary point of contact between Operations and MaintenanceTranslate operational issues into transparent technical actionsCommunicate downtime, risks, and maintenance activities to OperationsAlign maintenance priorities with operational needs and sort schedulesSupport live operations by rapidly diagnosing and resolving issuesParticipate in daily operational meetings and shift handoversQualifications & SkillsQualifications Certificate of Qualification in one of the following Ontario trades: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) - 433A Electromechanical Technician or equivalent experience Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment (sorters, conveyors, or similar systems) Post-secondary education in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or related field (asset)Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with: Conveyor systems and automated sortation equipment Mechanical systems (bearings, drives, belts, alignment) Electrical systems (motors, sensors, control panels) Basic PLC troubleshootingAbility to:
