Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using Square POS
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining spaces, counters, and kitchen stations
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety protocols
Manage guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction
Support team members during busy periods to maintain smooth operations
Skills
Experience is an assett in food service or restaurant environments with a strong focus on guest services
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
Strong cashiering skills with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and transactions
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
