Position Overview

The Stocktaking Counter performs physical inventory counts, asset verification, materiel identification, inventory reconciliation support, barcode application, and related warehouse activities at DND facilities

Responsibilities

• Perform physical inventory counts
• Record quantities, serial numbers and batch information
• Verify manufacturer part numbers and inventory details
• Identify inventory discrepancies
• Conduct recounts as directed
• Verify condition tags and labels
• Verify shelf-life information where applicable
• Identify damaged or expired materials
• Return inventory to designated locations
• Affix inventory labels and barcodes
• Complete count sheets and supporting documentation
• Support warehouse inventory activities

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months inventory counting or stocktaking experience within the past 5 years
• Eligible for Reliability Status and/or Secret Clearance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Lift and move up to 25 kg
• Climb ladders
• Work at heights up to 15 metres
• Stand or walk for extended periods
• Work in warehouses and outdoor environments
• Travel for extended assignments
