Help shape the future of Indigenous youth at ACEH in Saanich, BC as a Youth Care Worker. Provide guidance, mentorship, and culturally supportive care in a nurturing setting.
ACEH is launching the Culturally Supportive Care Home tailored for Indigenous youth ages 12-19. As a Youth Care Worker, you'll support their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs while promoting self-identity. Key responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, providing mentorship, and maintaining a safe living space.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety and well-being of youth during shifts
• Enforce visitation and curfew policies
• Support individual goals in care plans
• Provide transportation to various activities
• Plan and deliver engaging social events
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education and training
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Naloxone training from a certified professional
• Foodsafe Level 1 equivalent certification
• Experience with Indigenous youth is an asset
Contribute to a vital community initiative supporting Indigenous youth and their journey to independence at ACEH.
