We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plumbing Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves performing various service tasks, including assessing customer plumbing and drainage issues, maintenance and repair of plumbing and drainage systems including draintile, and use of trenchless system to replace water and sewer lines, while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and repair of storm drain/perimeter drain systems
Perform pipe video inspection
Hydro-jet sanitary and storm lines
Metallic and non-metallic line tracing / locating
Power snake and auger drainage systems
Use trenchless pipe-bursting system to replace water lines and sewer lines
Perform excavation work with secure shoring
Conduct plumbing tasks, including installation and repair of pipes and fixtures.
Full-service plumbing; water heaters, toilets, sinks, faucets, hose bibs, re-piping etc.
Utilize hand tools effectively for various repair tasks.
Execute heavy lifting as required for equipment installation or removals
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Proven experience in service technician roles or similar positions.
Strong skills in building, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and assembly.
Gas B ticket an asset but not necessary
Red Seal Plumbing Certification an asset but not necessary
Sales experience is an asset in dealing with customers
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for job duties.
Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Robust problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety practices.
