The Vancouver School

Board is seeking an experienced Communications and Engagement Lead to enhance its storytelling efforts. You will collaborate with educators and administrators to develop strategic communications and engagement plans that align with District priorities. This role demands solid judgment and independence in managing high-profile initiatives and sensitive issues. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead lifecycle of strategic communications initiatives from planning to evaluation
- Assess audience needs and identify communication risks and opportunities




- Manage complex issues and organizational change communications
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and staff
- Develop and analyze engagement plans and materials Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
- Minimum seven years in strategic communications
- Experience managing sensitive issues and public engagement
- Background in media relations is preferable
