Join a dedicated educational team as a part-time Educational Assistant focusing on K-6 students. Support diverse learning needs through individualized assistance in a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will work closely with classroom teachers and learning coaches to facilitate student independence and growth. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support to students with varying cognitive and emotional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The position offers approximately 16.25 hours per week during the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students based on individualized learning needs • Foster independence in child development • Collaborate with teachers and support staff • Build effective relationships with parents and the community • Assist with self-care and personal needs of students
Requirements: • Educational Assistant Certificate preferred • Experience with K-6 students necessary • Strong interpersonal skills in a school workplace • Ability to work with complex needs and challenges • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
