In this role you will have the opportunity to work within a talented, supportive team and take a lead role in key building projects. The Project Engineer with Contract Administrator responsibilities focuses on the Contract Administration phase of projects under construction. The role combines knowledge of office and field functions to ensure the project is implemented in accordance with the approved building design and construction contract. Reporting to the Project Director, we seek an individual familiar with engineering design, multidisciplinary contract documents, project budgeting, costing, construction methods, delivery schedules and a passion for collaborative teamwork.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with the owner, contractor and consultant team.Interpret the contract documents and issue appropriate instructions to the contractor.Coordinate and issue site instructions for revisions that do not affect the contract price.Manage multidisciplinary RFI responses and respond to RFIs from the contractor to provide clarity and direction.Manage and coordinate design changes and issue contemplated change notices to the contractor. Review contractor pricing and make recommendations for payment.Carry out periodic field review,



monitor progress of work to ensure compliance with the contract documents.Attend bi‑weekly construction site meetings.Prepare and issue site visit reports.Advise the contractor when construction results are incorrect.Issue non‑conformance reports (NCRs) when required.Review inspection and testing reports by third parties.Compile punch list of non‑compliant work and monitor resolution of deficiencies.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum university degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience on multi‑disciplinary transit facility projects.Minimum 5–7 years of design and construction experience on industrial facility projects.Ability to read and understand construction contract documents and CCDC contract.Registration with PEO is mandatory.Project Management Professional designation is an asset.Knowledge of construction practices, procedures and quality assurance techniques.Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and write correspondence independently.Strong project management and coordination skills with the ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Office‑based position that requires travel – valid Ontario driver’s licence, acceptable driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.Location & SalaryEtobicoke, Ontario, Canada – Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000.
