Merrickville Daycare is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our preschool team. The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of a high-quality early learning program that aligns with How Does Learning Happen? and promotes children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences
Create a protected, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development
Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Support children’s individual needs, interests, and abilities
Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety policies, and centre procedures
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and reflective practice

Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent




Current registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
Valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Knowledge of Ontario early learning frameworks and child development
Experience working in a licensed preschool setting is an asset

Pay: $21.42-$23.19 per hour
