GearShift Auto is a small, growing used-car dealership in Saskatoon looking for a skilled and dependable part-time Automotive Technician. We focus on proper repairs, clear communication, and maintaining a positive, respectful work environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is comfortable with general mechanical work, engine repairs, and transmission-related work, and is looking for versatile, steady part-time hours.
Responsibilities
Vehicle inspections and used-car reconditioning
Brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling system repairs
Engine work (diagnostics, sensors, seals, timing components, accessories)
Transmission services, diagnostics, and repair support
Test drives and final quality checks
Communicating findings and repair needs clearly
Qualifications
Journeyman Automotive Technician or equivalent hands-on experience
Comfortable working on engines and transmissions
Robust diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver’s license
Own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided as needed)
Pay & Schedule
$30–$45 per hour, based on experience
Part time with flexible scheduling
Option for hourly or flat-rate pay
