In this pivotal role reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, you will spearhead our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team efforts. With a focus on threat detection across endpoints, cloud, and production environments, you will manage escalated security incidents and investigations. Your expertise will help establish standardized practices and enhance automated detection methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead investigations and manage high-severity incidents
• Develop and maintain detection rules across various platforms
• Conduct data-driven threat hunts to identify risks
• Document attacks for reporting and corrective actions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align security goals
Requirements:
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with 3 years in incident response
• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent
• Experience in financial or regulated environments preferred
• Robust query and scripting skills, ideally in Python
• Certifications in security-related fields are assets
