The ideal candidate will have experience installing underground utility systems, including water, sewer, storm, and drainage infrastructure. This individual takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and contributes positively to a team-focused setting.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall underground water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage systemsRead and interpret grade stakes, utility drawings, and project specificationsAssist with trench preparation, pipe alignment, bedding, and backfilling activitiesEnsure proper pipe placement, elevations, and connections are completed to project requirementsWork closely with equipment operators, foremen, and survey crewsInstall manholes, catch basins, culverts, and related underground infrastructureFollow all safety procedures, regulations,



and job site requirementsAssist with general civil construction activities as requiredQualifications & experienceMinimum of one (1) year of experience as a Pipelayer in civil constructionExperience installing water, sanitary, storm, and drainage systemsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, grades, and specificationsKnowledge of trench safety requirements and underground utility installation practicesExperience working around excavators and other heavy equipmentStrong teamwork skills and willingness to assist the crew where neededReliable, safety-conscious, and punctualAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsValid Class 5 Driver’s License requiredAssetsExperience with municipal infrastructure and underground utility projectsExperience installing large-diameter pipeCSTS, Ground Disturbance Level II, and Confined Space certificationsExperience working with laser levels and grade checking equipmentCanoco is an equal opportunity employer.
