Tungasuvvingat Inuit is seeking a full-time Wellness Worker to provide trauma-informed supervision and assist with wellness programming. Essential skills include emotional support, conflict resolution, and a strong knowledge of mental health. Your role will directly contribute to the health and wellbeing of urban Inuit populations through client-centered approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed emotional support to clients
• Maintain safety through building checks and monitoring
• Document client interactions accurately and timely
• Facilitate culturally relevant wellness programming
• Collaborate with team members to address client needs
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in Front Line Support Services
• High School Diploma required; degree preferred
• Knowledge of mental health and substance use
• Skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset
