We are seeking a dynamic and organized optometric receptionist to join our eye care team! Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes to create a positive first impression
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify patient insurance details and update medical records accurately within our electronic medical records platform
Coordinate with the clinical team to prepare exam rooms and ensure all necessary paperwork is ready for patient visits
Handle administrative tasks such as processing payments and submitting insurance on patient behalf
Helping patients with spectacle selection/fitting
Coordinating meetings with frame representatives and organizing frame dispensary
Performing pre-testing on patients
Qualifications
Customer service experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience working with office management software
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to eye care is a plus but not required
