Physiatrix is adding an Occupational Therapist to our multidisciplinary team. You'll work alongside our clinicians to support clients recovering from injury, with a focus on concussion and return-to-work rehabilitation, helping them get back to work, school, and daily life.
Duties
Complete OT assessments (cognitive, functional, psychosocial, return-to-work readiness) and write clear, timely reports
Deliver weekly 1:1 OT sessions
Co-lead group education sessions on topics like energy management, cognitive strategies, and return-to-work planning
Run phone or video return-to-work check-ins with clients and, where appropriate, their employers
Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to progress and discharge reports
Complete job site visits and job demands analyses when requested
Liaise with insurers, physicians, and employers as part of the care team
Qualifications
Registered and in valuable standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (occupational therapy)
At least 12 months of experience assessing and treating concussion / mild TBI within the last 3 years
At least 12 months of experience in return-to-work planning within the last 3 years
Completed a recognized concussion management course (please name it in your application)
Comfortable with third-party (ICBC/WSBC) reporting and deadlines; an effective, plain-language report writer
Valid BC driver's licence and access to a vehicle (for occasional job site visits)
Pay: $75.00-$90.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
