Role Description
This is a permanent on-site role as an Optician or Optometric Assistant located in Etobicoke, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in the selection and fitting of eyewear. Additional responsibilities include establishing rapport, understanding the patient’s needs, and providing excellent customer service, booking appointments, repairs and adjustments of eyewear and general inquiries.
Qualifications
Optician skills such as understanding prescriptions, fitting lenses and frames, verifying orders, and dispensing eyewear.
Customer satisfaction and customer service skills such as greeting patients with a friendly and professional demeanor, actively listening, and providing problem resolution.
Knowledge and experience in optometry and eye exams to ensure accurate and accurate fittings.
Robust communication skills, including the ability to educate patients on eyewear options that cater to their needs and lifestyle.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a rapid-paced environment independently as well as part of a team
Experience with optical sales and serving diverse patients and their needs is a plus
