We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing underground infrastructure, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and various hand and power tools.
The Pipelayer will work closely with project managers and other trades to complete projects efficiently and safely in a dynamic construction environment.
Duties
Install water, storm & sewer underground piping
Use of equipment when needed
Use hand tools and power tools
Help with preparation activities such as trenching, grading, and backfilling
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and project specifications
Maintain equipment in proper working condition through routine inspections and minor repairs
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high safety standards
Qualifications
4+ years of Civil pipe laying experience (with references)
Water distribution tickets considered an asset
Familiarity with working around gas lines & hydro
Experience with hand tools, power tools, rigging, and related construction techniques
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Robust understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
Valid driver’s license & transportation required
Must be reliable
