In this senior role, you will report to the Site Supervisor, overseeing the maintenance and upgrade of electrical equipment in substations. Your expertise will be crucial as you read blueprints, ensure compliance with safety standards, and mentor Electrical Apprentices while maintaining a focus on quality work and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems
• Operate construction equipment like mini hoe and manlifts
• Lead and train Electrical Apprentices on-site
• Inspect high voltage equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Plan and facilitate installation of electrical wiring and fixtures
Requirements:
• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
• Minimum 5 years of electrical work experience
• 2 years working specifically in substations
• Experience with BC Hydro preferred
• High-voltage experience is a solid advantage
