Catalyze Solutions is a Richmond-based education and pathway planning agency supporting international students and families in building their future in Canada. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced French Instructor to join our growing team.
This is a part-time, in office role focused on helping adult learners and international students prepare for the TEF and TCF French exams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare students for the TEF & TCF French exams, supporting learners in reaching a CLB7 (B2) level or higher
Plan and deliver engaging French language lessons based on approved learning objectives
Create quizzes, assignments, and classroom activities to support student learning and exam preparation
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain attendance records, grading, and student progress reports
Foster a positive and inclusive learning workplace for students from diverse cultural backgrounds
Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and language levels
Collaborate with the Catalyze team to support student success
Qualifications
Master’s degree in French, Education,
Linguistics, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of French teaching experience, preferably with adult learners or international students
Strong understanding of TEF/TCF exams and CLB benchmarks
Fluency in both French and English
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Experience working with multicultural or immigrant communities is an asset
Teaching certification or equivalent experience is preferred

Compensation
Starting from $38/hour, based on qualifications and experience.
