Medical Office Assistant (MOA) – Part time

$20.25 per hour

MyCommunity Health Centre is a newly opened and growing family medicine and walk-in clinic in Downtown Oshawa. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team on a part time basis, with the potential for increased hours as the clinic grows.

Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients
Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
Register current patients and update patient information
Manage referrals, incoming reports, faxes, and medical records
Assist physicians with day-to-day administrative needs
Process uninsured service payments and related paperwork
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinic privacy policies
Help maintain efficient patient flow
Support general front-desk and clinic administrative duties

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a medical clinic is strongly preferred
TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) experience is preferred




Experience with EMR systems is an asset
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable multitasking in a busy medical setting
Robust computer and typing skills
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently

Position Details
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $20.25 per hour
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week to start
Schedule: Must be available to work evenings and weekends
Location: Downtown Oshawa, Ontario
Potential for increased hours or full-time employment as the clinic grows
