Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and hygienic setting
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
Manage patient records using dental software such as Tracker, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist, greeting patients and scheduling appointments
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions and assisting with appliance placements
Requirements
Valid license as a Licensed Dental Assistant in accordance with state regulations
Proven experience with dental assisting procedures, including radiography and sterilization protocols
Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics
Experience assisting with orthodontic treatments is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations
