Elevate Northern community support with MakeWay as a Senior Specialist in People, Engagement, and Learning. This full-time position offers a unique prospect to impact diverse communities across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

Based in Yellowknife, NT, this role requires an experienced HR professional ready to provide relational support to our Northern projects and staff. You will guide employee relations matters, navigate complex situations, and help strengthen our people practices. Supporting the Northern Program team, you'll foster capacity building and assist with HR governance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary PEL contact for Northern Shared Platform projects
• Guide employee relations using a justice and equity framework




• Support staff with recruitment and performance management
• Collaborate on HR policy implementation and compliance
• Identify trends and provide recommendations for Northern teams

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
• 3-5 years of HR experience in Northern and Indigenous contexts
• Familiarity with Canadian employment legislation
• Experience in nonprofit or community-based environments
• Willingness to pursue CPHR designation preferred
