Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) Manager

Position Overview
Rock River Laboratory and A&L; Laboratories Canada are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) Manager to join our finance team in London, Ontario.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role owns two things: our financial model, and the monthly reporting package delivered to our shareholders and senior management team. You will be the CFO's analytical partner on budgeting, forecasting and business performance.
This is a build role. You will shape how we plan and report, working with a high degree of autonomy in a lean finance team.
Financial Model & Forecasting
Own, update and continuously improve the financial model supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
Lead the annual budget and quarterly reforecast cycles
Build scenario and sensitivity analysis supporting pricing, growth, capital investment and strategic initiatives
Reporting & Analysis
Produce the monthly reporting package for our shareholders and senior management team, delivered on a committed schedule
Write variance commentary that explains performance, not just results
Develop and maintain KPI dashboards across business units
Conduct ad hoc analysis on pricing, profitability, capital expenditure and operational efficiency
Partnership & Systems
Partner with the senior management team to translate operational performance into financial insight
Coordinate with the accounting team through month-end close and reporting cycles
Improve reporting automation and data accuracy within our ERP and business intelligence tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
CPA designation or enrollment, CFA or MBA considered a strong asset
5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A;, corporate finance or financial analysis
Demonstrated experience building financial models from scratch; candidates should expect a short modelling exercise as part of the interview process
Advanced Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query or a comparable business intelligence tool
Experience with ERP systems and management reporting
Ability to communicate financial insight clearly to non-financial audiences
Comfort working autonomously and managing competing priorities
Preferred Experience
Service-based, volume-driven or seasonal business models
Multi-site or multi-entity organizations operating in Canada and the United States
Laboratory services, agriculture, food and beverage, manufacturing or other scientific industries

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $120,000 to $140,000 per year, based on experience
