Messer is seeking a Gas Filler / Mixer to join our team and ensure safe, efficient gas mixture processing. Play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of safety and quality.
As a Gas Filler / Mixer under the supervision of the Plant Manager, you will accurately fill cylinders with high-pressure and toxic gases while maintaining safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to meeting customer lead times while working with minimal supervision in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle flammable and corrosive gases safely
• Select appropriate cylinders for filling inspections
• Fill cylinders according to production requirements
• Inspect filling apparatus and complete daily checklists
• Report hazardous conditions and follow safety guidelines
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education (3-year college degree)
• Background in science preferred (Technologist diploma or chemistry)
• High degree of safety consciousness
• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in math
• Basic computer skills including MS Office
