We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our Nursing Home. This role requires a solid understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including seniors, children, and individuals requiring hospice or dementia care.
The LPN will play a vital role in supporting patient well-being through clinical expertise and compassionate care.
Duties
Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders
Monitor patient health status and record vital signs
Assist with patient assessments and document findings thoroughly
Provide wound care, and pain management as needed
Support patient mobility and comfort, ensuring safety at all times
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Participate in Resident Care Conferences
Assist with laboratory procedures and specimen collection
Manage case documentation
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan.
Nursing home experience prefferred, senior care is highly desirable.
Proficiency in medical terminology and medication administration protocols
Strong patient care skills with the ability to work compassionately with diverse populations
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
