The Opportunity:
The Promotional Assembly Planner will lead the Value Added Services (VAS) area with a focus on meeting our customer objectives and deadlines. This individual will take ownership of the VAS process working effectively with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Marketing, Digital Teams and Finance to ensure cost effective execution and communication of this program.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Oversee the execution of all VAS activities including, pallet display programs, quarantine notices, and customer returns.
- Manage all inbound materials required to support VAS activities, while maintaining records of receipts. Ensure other material handling supplies have been ordered and maintained through preferred suppliers.
- Liaise with Sales, Planning, Marketing, Trade Marketing and external Marketing partners to determine timelines and costing for all company initiatives and programs as it relates to Promotional Assembly and Receiving.
- Audit and control the movement of inventory to ensure accuracy of counts, locations, and progress of work.
- Provide key metrics data to support worldwide logistics reporting.
- Determine labour requirements for upcoming projects and track labour spends.
- Ensure labour costing is a captured through biometric time clocks to ensure compliance with pre-established VAS project accounting codes.
- Provide labour costing estimates based on time studies to support the VAS approval process.
- Determine and develop efficient work methods and processes to control labour costs.
- Provide a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to Mattel GMP standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.
What We’re Looking For:
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree
- 2-3 years of warehouse experience with co-pack assembly experience preferred.
- 2 years’ experience with managing staff and temporary labour pools.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience with labour costing and time studies.
- Strong excel skills
- Ability to handle pressure situations and work toward set deadlines
