Job Summary The Supply Coordinator is responsible for the efficient, ordering, receiving and accurate stocking of all medical, surgical, and operational supplies and equipment within River Cree Weiss Surgical Care + (RCW). The Supply Coordinator ensures that operating rooms, procedure rooms, and clinical areas are consistently stocked, compliant, and ready to support safe, high-quality patient care.

The Supply Coordinator will distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate, real time inventory levels for medical, surgical, and operational supplies across all clinical and support areas.
- Conduct routine cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and adjust inventory records to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor par levels and usage trends to anticipate needs and prevent zero stock or overstocking.
- Manage receiving, unpacking, labeling, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage conditions, rotation of stock (FIFO), and expiry-date monitoring.
- Support the ongoing setup and operational continuity of inventory systems at RCW, including coordination of the SPM and Rotomat systems.

Operating Room & Clinical Support

- Ensure operating rooms, procedure rooms, and sterile processing areas are stocked with required supplies and equipment.
- Maintain readiness of specialty equipment including positioning devices, OR tables, scopes, and accessories by coordinating repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist with case cart preparation and replenishment as required.

Inventory System Management





- Operate and maintain the facility’s inventory management system, ensuring accurate data entry, item master updates, and system integrity.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with infection prevention, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage environments in accordance with WHMIS, CSA, and facility policies.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and process reviews related to supply chain operations.
- Support recall management, product evaluations, and implementation of new supplies or equipment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · A high school diploma is required; however, equivalent education combined with experience may be considered.

· Ability to analyze inventory data, identify trends, and implement proactive supply chain improvements.

· Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and sterile processing workflows.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous experience in healthcare supply chain management, and inventory control (i.e. surgical, acute care, community health, remote clinic, or Indigenous health service environments).

· Certification in supply chain or materials management (e.g., CSCP, CHL)

· Previous experience working with an inventory management system.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

· A competitive hourly wage will be offered to the successful candidate based on experience and skills. At the end of the probationary period a comprehensive benefit package will be provided.

· Must be able to lift, move, and transport supplies and equipment

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced workplace with changing priorities

· You will be required to stand for extended periods of time

· May be required to work days, evenings and weekends
