Home District/Group: Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Surveying Market: Nuclear Employment Type: Full Time As a Surveyor, you will play an integral role in establishing and maintaining methods for safe, accurate, and efficient Survey Field Operations. You will have responsibilities over field survey operations and should plan to spend the majority of your time in the field performing survey field operations. You will also be expected to lead and teach more junior surveyors valuable surveying practices.

The majority of the operations will be during the day Monday to Friday; however, the applicant should expect some varying times/shift type scheduling depending on the project requirements.

This role will be based at the Darlington Nuclear Facility Field Survey Operations: Implementing the project survey plan specific to field operations. Oversee the operation with periodic reviews of record-keeping, field procedures, and survey audits to ensure that all work is performed efficiently and professionally.

Maintain accurate and legible field notes; sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, clarify, and assume liability for work performed.



Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at project sites. Prepare site surveying documents/ reports and present findings Setting and maintenance of control network.

Performing layout and drawing clarifications Must be willing to work 40-45 hours per week, occasionally it may be required to work some irregular hours (and occasionally weekend shifts) ~3-10 years' experience in Construction Survey, Field Engineering, traversing, leveling, layouts, or a related experience is required ~ Ability to coordinate with different trades, field, and other construction team members ~ Surveying experience in Nuclear/Large scale construction project is an asset ~ Must be able to apply intermediate concepts of Trigonometry, Mathematics, Calculus, and Geomatics to perform calculations (area, volume, circumference, proportion, percentage) ~ Strong computer knowledge to use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other computer-assisted design software ~ Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in safety, quality, and productivity ~ Working at heights trained is an asset ~ Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics or Diploma in Civil Engineering Tech or equivalent is an asset must be able to handle stress and immediate deadlines Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work overtime and weekends as required.
