Kewley Security is now accepting applications for licensed Security Guards to work events in and around Kingston.

This is a large-scale outdoor music festival workplace requiring professional, reliable, and customer-focused security personnel. Successful applicants will support event safety, access control, alcohol compliance, crowd management, patron assistance, and overall site security throughout the festival.

Applicants must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and valid Smart Serve certification to be considered.

Responsibilities

Security Guards may be assigned to a variety of event positions, including:
Access control and credential checks
Gate, perimeter, and restricted area security
Alcohol compliance and patron monitoring
Crowd management and public safety support
Bag checks and screening support, where assigned
Responding to incidents and escalating concerns appropriately
Providing transparent directions and strong customer service to patrons
Supporting emergency procedures as directed by supervisors




Maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced outdoor festival environment
Completing incident reports when required

Requirements

Applicants must have
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
Valid Smart Serve certification
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
Robust communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Ability to follow direction from supervisors and event command staff
Reliable transportation to and from the event site
Previous event, concert, festival, or alcohol compliance experience is considered an asset

Working Conditions

This position involves working in a busy outdoor festival environment. Guards may be required to stand or walk for long periods, work evenings, late nights, weekends, and in various weather.
