The designer will work under the supervision of the Principal Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or the Project Lead Engineer.The tasks you'll performProceduresEnsure that all CAD files you produce strictly comply with the necessary Lycopodium and project CAD procedures.Comply with all published company procedures and instructions.Quality ControlFollow and implement all relevant Lycopodium standards and procedures and to ensure compliance with these by persons under supervision.Produce Lycopodium and industry standard 3D models from the design engineer’s calculations and sketches with minimal supervision.Ensure drawings comply with all relevant International Standards.Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings.Document PreparationProduce Lycopodium and industry standard 3D models from the design engineer’s calculations and sketches.Review of vendor drawings and design data for use in Design Drawings.Ensure project design data within your area of work is disseminated to other project team members in an efficient and timely manner.Check complex design drawings as requiredResource ManagementSupervise junior personnel as directed by the Principal Designer.Continuous ImprovementDemonstrate a commitment to quality improvement of design and safety.Budget and Schedule ManagementIn conjunction with the design team meeting project budget and schedule for drawings.The expertise you’ll bringExtensive experience in process plant design, with10+ years in a relevant disciplineand a strong technical foundation across mineral processing technologies and commodities.Diploma in Engineering Design Drafting(or equivalent) with a broad and deep minerals processing engineering knowledge base.Advanced proficiency inBentley OpenBuildings Designer (OBD)andBentley 3D MicroStation, with working experience usingProjectWisefor online document control.Demonstrated ability todeliver high‑quality designs and solutionsto agreed milestone dates, budgets, and professional standards.Proven capability tomanage and lead drafting teams, achieving man‑hour budgets and milestone deliverables.Proficiency withMicrosoft Office applications(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevantproprietary engineering software packages .ExcellentEnglish communication and report‑writing skills, with strong interpersonal skills and a practical, team‑focused approach to design problem‑solving.Strong commitment tocollaboration, professionalism, and continued career development .The benefits we’ll provideLycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
