Key Responsibilities

Reading and comprehending work instructions and following established procedures

Start up, operate and shut down assembly machinery

Prepare materials and equipment needed for assembly

Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to required specifications

Ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product

Verify output to ensure highest quality

Keep records of production, quality, quantities and time

Report on issues, malfunctions, defective parts and any unscheduled down time

Assist with internal corrective actions and procedures

Communicate frequently with team regarding concerns, discrepancies and continuous improvement ideas

Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations, personnel policies, company policies and procedures,



following safe work practices at all times

Maintains a clean and organized work area, compliance with 5S requirements

Assist with internal production and warehouse tasks, including shipping and receiving

Education & Professional Experience
Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

3 years of experience in general assembly within an automotive parts manufacturing environment is an asset.

Skills and Abilities

Comfortable and confident using hand tools, power tools, and production machinery.

Robust attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or irregularities.

Solid inspection skills and commitment to producing high‑quality work.

Good technical aptitude and strong manual dexterity for precise assembly tasks.

Basic math skills required for measurements, counts, and production documentation.Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.

Ability to work rotating shifts (if required).

Access to reliable transportation is required.

Results-oriented, resourceful and proactive attitude

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German considered an asset.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing at a work station, ergonomic mats supplied where applicable.

Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for repetitive tasks, including assembly, handling, and operation of tools or equipment.





Frequent hand-eye coordination for precise placement and manipulation of components.

Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of materials and products, typically up to 35 lbs, depending on task requirements.

Frequent bending, reaching, or twisting as needed to perform assigned tasks.

Moderate back and shoulder movement including static flexion and rotation.

Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail to ensure quality and safety.

Occasional exposure to noise, vibration, and varying temperatures consistent with production operations.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times.

Health and Safety Responsibility

Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety policies and procedures.

Wear required PPE at all times.

Report hazards, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.

Use equipment, machinery, and tools safely and do not bypass safety devices.

Follow all machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment (good housekeeping).

Participate in required safety training and meetings.

Follow all ESD requirements and wear CSA-approved footwear.

Adhere to emergency procedures and report incidents promptly.

Exercise the right to refuse unsafe work when appropriate.
