Your place in our story
The Health and Safety Representative is responsible for implementing Minto’s team-oriented health and safety program. This role supports the Construction Team with monitoring and enforcing compliance with Minto’s regulatory Health and Safety Policies.

Here’s How You’ll Contribute

Monitor, maintain, and implement Minto and Ministry of Labour (MOL) health and safety policies; report to General Site Superintendent

Maintain safety files and log activities

Keep training records for Minto employees

Conduct toolbox talks with trade partners and staff

Assist with implementation and adoption of E-Compliance

Coordinate orientations for new trades on site

Track safety infractions and report trends

Host and take minutes of joint health and safety meetings





Keep record of trade health and safety policies, toolbox meetings, safety certifications

Ensure compliance of safety rails and ramps with MOL regulations

Report safety violations to Site Superintendent

Maintain on-site safety equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, stretchers)

What You Bring To The Team

High School Diploma required; relevant post-secondary education an asset

2–5 years of health and safety experience, preferably in construction

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable, adaptable, good time management, attention to detail

Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle

Familiar with applicable legislations, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Ontario Building Code, Provincial Fire codes and Environmental Protection Act is considered an asset

Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is an asset

Current certification in C.P.R., First Aid and Fall Protection is an asset

Knowledge of e-Compliance, Microsoft Outlook and Excel software’s are an asset

Hiring pay range rate:
$26.50-29.50 per hour
